Also, our centerpiece idea is so basic that hopefully even we won't be able to foul it up too much. We just need to start collecting tiny jars and vases (luckily Jesse's folks already have a pretty fair collection and we've got tons of thrift stores nearby). Here's what we have in mind:
And we're thinking about using flowers like the ones below, along with dahlias (the flowers in the furthest right photo above). If anyone knows what kind of flowers are in the furthest left photo below, please let me know! Are they just a variety of garden roses or something else? I love the peach and pink together. P.s - wedding planning is an awesome crash course in botany. I 've learned more flower names, locations and seasonal varieties in the last couple of months than in my entire 25 years prior.
As far as bouquets, I'm thinking monochromatic, hand-tied, and as devoid of extra greenery and babies breath as possible. My favorite idea is to use either one or three dinner plate dahlias (the super gigantic pink flower in the top set of photos - also comes in white, yellow and light pink!), but I'm not sure how hard they are to come by. When I make up my mind, I'll just have to dress up our blog with more photos of flowers!
